Tring has a wide range of over 50 shops and many services - have you explored them to find out what they offer? You may be surprised at the range and the competitive prices. The Chamber of Commerce promotes local business   http://www.tringchamber.co.uk/

So - a large amount of your food shopping can be locally produced with the balance made up from local supermarkets in Tring (Co-op, Tesco, Marks & Spencer), mini markets (The Old Stables in Miswell Lane and the off licence in New MillTerrace) and several other shops selling food items -meaning that you should not need to travel outside the Tring area for food purchases. Grow you own fruit and vegetables - there are four allotment sites around Tring (all with waiting lists).

We should also use local shops and firms where possible rather than travelling outside Tring
